How to Play: The Battle Voting Arena
The heart of the website is the Home (Battle Voting Arena) page. Here’s where the fun happens, and it couldn’t be simpler:
- Facing Off: When you load the homepage, you’ll be presented with a head-to-head match-up: two random, active dogs from the community, complete with their current rating and, most importantly, their photo.
- Cast Your Vote: Look at both dogs. Who can resist those puppy eyes? Which one is striking the best pose? Once you’ve made your incredibly difficult choice, just click the “🐾 VOTE” button below your pick.
- The Next Battle: As soon as you vote, the page instantly reloads with two new random dogs for another round. It’s a continuous, charming cycle of cuteness.
Every vote helps a dog’s rating climb, while the one you didn’t pick will see their rating slightly decrease. It’s an Elo-based ranking system, meaning every dog is always in the running, and the leaderboards are constantly shifting.

Curious about who is top dog? The site features two ways to see the current standings:
- Active Dog Leaderboard: This ranks all the dogs currently participating in the voting arena. You can see their current position, name, photo, owner, and their full win/loss record. It’s a great place to discover new favorites.
- All-Time Dog Leaderboard: Coming soon, this will honor the all-time greats of the Battle of the Dogs, showcasing the pups who have achieved the highest ratings throughout the competition’s history.
How to Enter Your Own Dog
Think your pooch has what it takes to be a champion? “Battle of the Dogs” makes it easy to get them in the game:
- Register: Head to the Register page and create an account. It’s quick and free.
- Owner Dashboard: Once logged in, you’ll have access to the Owner Dashboard. This is your command center. From here, you can add your dog’s profile, upload their best photo, and submit them to be an “Active Dog.”
- Watch Them Climb: Once approved, your dog will join the rotation and start appearing in head-to-head battles on the homepage. Then, it’s up to the community to decide their fate!
